The microbiology laboratory is equipped with state of the art diagnostic facilities like UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Laminar Air flow chamber, Cooling Centrifuge, Autoclave, Light microscope, Water Bath, Orbital Shaker Incubator, Bacteriological Incubator, Hot Air Oven, Refrigerator, pH meter, Dry Bath, Weighing balance, Magnetic stirrer, Conventional PCR Vortex and Gel electrophoresis apparatus etc and latest technology to perform real time RT PCR especially useful in the detection of SARS Covid-19 virus.

The main aim of our department to produce microbiologists of excellent caliber, who have acquired diagnostic skills of common and uncommon infectious etiologies, have developed good technical, research and teaching skills
